Classes For All Ages & Skill Levels

Our tumbling program at Starry Skye LLC offers athletes of all ages and experience levels the opportunity to grow their skills step by step. From learning the basics to mastering advanced passes, each class is designed to build strength, coordination, and proper technique in a supportive environment. Athletes gain more than just new skills—they develop confidence, discipline, and a strong foundation.

Recreational Class Options

4-6 Year Old Tumble

(Ages 4–6 Years Old)

This introductory class is the perfect way for young athletes to explore movement in a fun and encouraging setting. Focusing on developing essential motor skills, coordination, and body awareness through foundational tumbling techniques. Participants work on building the strength and confidence needed for more advanced skills while learning to follow directions and interact with their peers. It is a fantastic way for active children to burn energy and begin their journey into the world of gymnastics and cheer.

6th Grade and Up Tumble

Designed specifically for middle and high school athletes, this class provides a focused environment to master tumbling fundamentals and beyond. Whether preparing for school cheer tryouts or simply staying active, students work on a personalized progression—from foundational cartwheels and roundoffs to power-building skills like back handsprings. We emphasize the core strength, air awareness, and technique necessary to excel in a more mature, fast-paced setting.

Level 1 Tumble

Level 1 Tumble is the perfect environment for athletes to transition from foundational mechanics to technical execution. This class focuses on perfecting ‘must-have’ skills like strong handstands, power roundoffs, and clean cartwheels while introducing front and back walkovers. With a heavy emphasis on proper form and body alignment, students build the necessary strength and air awareness to safely progress toward more advanced tumbling sequences.

Advanced Level 1/Intro Level 2

Ready to level up? This class is the perfect stepping stone for tumblers moving toward Level 2 skills. We prioritize the mastery of power roundoffs and walkover connections, providing a specialized focus on the strength and technique required for back handsprings. It’s the ideal environment for athletes to sharpen their form and gain the momentum needed for advanced tumbling passes.

Advanced Level 2

Advanced Level 2 is where power meets precision. This class is designed for athletes who have a consistent, unassisted back handspring and are ready to master high-level connections. We focus on perfecting roundoff-back handspring series and standing multi-handspring passes, while introducing the technical foundations for back tucks. Our coaching emphasizes explosive speed and elite form.

Walkovers

Our Walkover class focuses on the essential blend of flexibility and strength required for smooth front and back walkovers. Athletes work on specialized drills to improve bridge flexibility, shoulder mobility, and core stability. This class is perfect for those who have mastered their bridge-kickover and are ready to achieve the fluid, controlled motion needed for beautiful walkovers and more advanced tumbling connections

Back Handsprings

Master the most iconic skill in tumbling! Our Back Handspring class focuses exclusively on the technique, timing, and ‘snap’ needed for a perfect handspring. We break the skill down into manageable drills—focusing on the sit, the jump, and the push—to ensure athletes build muscle memory and confidence. This class is ideal for those who have a solid roundoff and are ready to add speed and power to their tumbling passes.

Tucks and Up

Tucks and Up is designed for elite-level athletes ready to take their tumbling into the air. This class focuses on the technical mastery of standing and running back tucks, layouts, and twisting progressions. We emphasize maximum explosive power, advanced air awareness, and precision landings. Through high-level conditioning and specialized drills, athletes develop the strength and confidence required to execute complex aerial sequences with perfect form.
